About Me

Biography

​Reshma Jasmin is a sophomore from Ellicott City, MD majoring in Neuroscience and English: Creative Writing at the University of Maryland. She's into writing, cooking, baking, construction/carpentry, conversation, reading, and watching movies and TV. Her written work is composed of poems, fictional stories, essays, and journaling. Her work deals with nature, interpersonal relationships, and/or introspection.  After graduating with a bachelor's degree, she plans to pursue further education to become a therapist/psychiatrist, a writing professor, or a philosopher. She is a peer mentor for Arts Scholars and also serves as the co-president of the Arts Advisory Board.

As a College Park Arts Scholar, Reshma would like to explore her writing interest through her culminating Capstone project to be completed in her sophomore year. She plans on taking full advantage of the opportunity to learn about art careers from guest artists. She also looks forward to attending field trips to explore the arts within her community of College Park, MD.
